Celebrate Independence Day in Avalon Park at the 4th of July Celebration!
Join us as we honor America’s 250th Anniversary with a patriotic community celebration in Downtown Avalon Park. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
Enjoy live entertainment, local food vendors, an apple pie bake-off, a festive bike parade, activities for kids, and a spectacular fireworks finale to close out the night. The day also begins with the Firecracker 5K in the morning, making it a full day of red, white, and blue fun for all ages.

We do not accept food vendors that directly compete with our Downtown Avalon Park commercial tenants.
4th of July Vendor Application
Avalon Park is inviting friends, families, and neighbors to come together for a patriotic celebration at the Avalon Park 4th of July Celebration, honoring America’s 250th Anniversary, on Saturday, July 4th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in Downtown Avalon Park. The community will gather to celebrate independence, tradition, and hometown pride with a full day of festive activities for all ages.
• Firecracker 5K kicks off the day in the morning – Start Independence Day on the right foot with the Firecracker 5K, bringing runners, families, and community groups together for a spirited morning race.
• Evening celebration from 5–9 PM – Downtown Avalon Park will be filled with red, white, and blue as the main celebration begins.
• Fireworks finale – End the night with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the sky in true Independence Day fashion.
• Bike Parade – Decorate your bikes in patriotic style and join the community for a festive bike parade through Downtown Avalon Park.
• Apple Pie Bake-Off – A classic holiday tradition returns as local bakers compete for bragging rights with their best apple pie creations.
• Family-friendly activities – Enjoy entertainment and activities designed for all ages throughout the evening.
• Food trucks and local restaurants – Grab a bite from a variety of local favorites serving up holiday classics and crowd-pleasing dishes.
• Local vendors and community partners – Explore booths from local businesses and organizations that help make Avalon Park a vibrant place to live.
So grab your flags, gather your friends and family, and join us for a full day of celebration as we honor America’s past, present, and future right here in Avalon Park. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Do you fancy yourself as the creator of the most scrumptious apple pie? Then join the 2026 Apple Pie Bake-off! Individuals are invited to enter a homemade apple pie by registering online before July 3rd. The top three submissions will be awarded cash prizes and announced at the Town Park stage during Avalon Park’s 4th of July festival at 7:30 PM.
Join us at the Avalon Park Gym and Wellness Center to start the patriotic bike parade around Avalon Lake! Deck out your bikes, strollers, or wagons in red, white, and blue and be at the starting point by 5:30 PM At the end, prizes will be distributed to those with the most creative and best group entries. All are invited to be a part of this amazing community event! There is no cost to register, but participants are encouraged to do so before July 3rd online.

The Avalon Park Foundation Firecracker 5K kicks off the day’s Independence Day celebrations with an energetic morning start. Whether you plan to run, jog, walk, stroll, or roll through Downtown Avalon Park, this community favorite is a fun way to celebrate while supporting the Foundation’s grants and scholarship programs
Whether you are enjoying one of the large quarterly festivals or relaxing in the park at one of the monthly movies, the community is full of life and a variety of family-friendly activities.
