Halloween Activities in Downtown Avalon Park
October has rolled around and with it comes spooky activities and haunted delights! All around Avalon Park this month there’s something for everyone to do to get in the Halloween mood. Check out a list of events coming up for yourself, family and friends to enjoy!
Spooky Sugar Cookie Decorating
The 5th Floor is hosting a Scary Sugar Cookie Decorating Class on October 14 at 10am! Transform normal sugar cookies into ghouls and skulls. Tickets are $65 per person and you can sign up here.
Fall-Themed Calligraphy Class
Learn calligraphy during Avalon Art and Culture Center’s fall-themed calligraphy class. This will be held at The Pavillion on October 19 from 6pm to 8pm. Tickets are $50 per person and everything done during the session is yours to keep!
Movie Under the Stars
Enjoy Casper under the stars in Town Park on October 20. Make sure to bring your own chairs and blankets to watch this Halloween-themed movie. Movie will begin at dark!
Spooktacular
Enjoy Avalon Park’s annual Spooktacular on Saturday, October 28 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Kids can trick-or-treating and bounce houses. There will also be food trucks, live performances and all types of different vendors. You can also show off your best costume in the costume contest!
Spooky 5K

Spooky Slow Flow
Yogasix of Waterford Lakes presents a spooky Halloween-themed yoga class at the Marketplace. This event will take place on October 28 from 10am to 11am. Make sure to bring your own mats and stay after the class to enjoy offerings from the Marketplace.
Avalon Church Family Fall Celebration
Come to Avalon Church on October 29 at 11 am to enjoy the free community fall celebration! Everyone is invited to enjoy lunch, bounce houses, truck or treat and more fun.
Pet’Tober
Everyone’s invited to Town Park on October 29 at noon to see a spooky pet show. You can also enjoy vendors, music and see local shelters.
