East Orlando Youth Advisory Board
Are you or do you know a teen in East Orlando looking for a safe, fun, and supportive space to connect with others? Look no further than the East Orlando Youth Advisory Board (YAB)! Our monthly meeting is a great opportunity to make a difference in your community.
What is YAB?
YAB is a group of dedicated teens who come together to discuss the challenges facing young people in East Orlando and explore ways to create positive change. We focus on issues such as mental health, leadership development, and community partnerships.
Why Join YAB?
Joining the board is a great way for teens to develop leadership skills, get involved in the community, and earn community service hours. But, that’s not all! It’s also an opportunity for teens to make new friends, memories, embrace an outgoing nature, and most importantly, to have fun.
What to Expect at the Board Meetings
Our meetings provide a welcoming and supportive environment for teens aged 13-18. Here what teens can expect:
- Participate in engaging discussions about important issues affecting teens.
- Learn about community resources and opportunities.
- Develop leadership skills through group activities and projects.
- Plan events and activities for other teens in the community.
- Have fun and make new friends.
