AVALON PARK ARTS AND CULTURE CENTER RELOCATING TO PERMANENT HOME

AVALON PARK ARTS AND CULTURE CENTER RELOCATING TO A PERMANENT HOME

FOUNDER’S HALL TO FEATURE LOCAL ARTISTS, SCHOOLS, AND EXHIBITIONS THIS DECEMBER

Orlando, FL (November 2, 2022) – The Avalon Park Arts and Culture Center “ACC” announced today that it will be relocating to a new permanent location, Founder’s Hall, this December.

The new site is located at 13013 Founder’s Square Drive and has a historic meaning for the community, as it was the first building constructed in Avalon Park. The new space adds character and history while giving it a more visible space in the downtown.

“The community has embraced the ACC with open arms and I’m excited about the opportunities the new location presents,” said Stephanie Lerret, SVP of Marketing and Community Relations for Avalon Park Group. “We activate our mission to change the way the world lives, learns, works, and plays by building places and programming like the Avalon Park Arts and Culture Center, where all members of the community can feel a sense of belonging.”

Since the grand opening of the ACC last April, there have been three themed exhibits, featuring over 40 artists and four local schools. The performing arts also came on board with performances from the Orlando Opera, Orlando Philharmonic, and the Avalon School of Music. Additionally, activities like the sewing club, children’s and adult art classes, and paint-and-sip events were also introduced.

ACC will open its first exhibit in its new space, with a holiday theme during the communities’ annual holiday event, Avalon Aglow, on December 3rd, 3:00 – 9:00 pm. Thereafter, regular operating hours will continue to be Fridays 5:00 – 9:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays Noon – 5:00 pm, and for special events.

The Avalon Park Arts and Culture Center allows schools, artists, and organizations to showcase their diverse work of all levels and mediums. The ACC is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers and donations for its operations.
