Avalon Eatery Back Story

Some of you may remember Angie & Claudio as they actively participated in many Avalon Park sponsored Food Truck Events.  The truck was GoodaFooda and their Award Winning Loaded Fries were the star of the show.  GoodaFooda frequently participated in truck wars…most often left with a trophy.  Their food truck days were packed with fun and adventures but they wanted more.

We ran the truck for nearly two years.  Our customers continued to suggest opening a restaurant location so they can have our food “on demand”.  We listened and opened our first location.

Since then, things have certainly changed.  The wheels are parked and Angie & Claudio  rolled up their sleeves and opened this second location in beautiful Avalon Park.

So why Avalon Park?  Angie remembers that very first time they pulled into Avalon.  She fell in love with the sense of community.  The streets lined with specialty shops only a short walk away from homes.

Claudio and Angie loved it so much, they knew their long term plans were to retire in Avalon.  But things certainly took a turn when they opened dialog about the available restaurant space.  Working with APG was an amazing experience.  They felt welcomed and it was comforting knowing that the APG team was sincere and helpful.  Before we knew it, the ink was dry and here we are!

The Avalon Eatery will be one of the most diverse restaurants in the community.  They’ve built their menu around their Award Winning Sauces while introducing so many cool additions it will certainly be hard to choose what to order.

The Eatery will be a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and diner.  They’ll have a full wine and beer list and offer Sunday Brunch.

Their upcoming plans will include outdoor entertainment in the square and family driven events like Trivia Night, Opened Mic, and more.

Angie is second generation here in the states.  Her family immigrated from Calabria Italy in 1902 and settled in New York.  She was born and raised in New York and moved to Florida with her husband Claudio and four children in the early 90’s.

Claudio came to this country from Buenos Aries Argentina as a young boy and lived in Queens New York.  Claudio and Angie have four children with families of their own.  They are blessed with four beautiful grandchildren.

Combined, their Italian and Argentine heritage boasts their passion to cook and feed friends and family…all the time!  They’re a fun, sassy, warm, and loving family that loves what they do.

They’re overwhelmed with excitement knowing that their retirement tomorrows are about to start today while servicing each and every one of you in beautiful Avalon Park.
